Skin as Cloth

Skin as Cloth explores clothing as a metaphor for the cosmetically enhanced body. Post-operative compression garments were digitally embroidered and laser etched with extracts from detailed interviews conducted with their wearers. Unique motivations for undergoing cosmetic surgery were revealed, ranging from career enhancement purposes of women working in the adult entertainment industry, to addictive secret surgery of British housewives.
