sKINship™ is a research program and professional network that has been developed by Rhian Solomon. It promotes cross disciplinary collaborations between Design and Medical practitioners, in particular Plastic Surgeons and Pattern Cutters for Fashion.

The forum provides a space in which to exchange knowledge and ideas – exploring the processes of ‘Making’ as a universal visual language, to communicate and share subject specific knowledge.

Rhian is currently undertaking a part time PhD at London College of Fashion exploring the impact of this style of collaboration on clinical practices within reconstructive surgery settings.

Key collaborators in this project include Juliana Sissons - Creative Pattern Cutter and Designer, Liz Ciokajlo - Concept Development Footwear Designer, Sarah Pape - Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
